Bybit Georgia, licensed by the National Bank of Georgia as a VASP and part of the global Bybit ecosystem, made its official debut at the DeGameFi 2025 conference in Tbilisi. Alongside showcasing its services, the company announced a strategic partnership with Setanta Sports, one of the leading broadcasters in the country.
This marked the company’s first major public appearance since launching in July 2025. The DGFI 2025 conference gathered over 5,000 participants, including crypto professionals, regulators, and media representatives.
The Bybit Georgia booth attracted significant attention from attendees. Mazurka Zeng, the head of Fiat and Payments at Bybit, joined a high-profile discussion panel with representatives from Mastercard, Tether, and the National Bank of Georgia. The panel explored the intersection of digital finance, blockchain, and artificial intelligence, emphasizing Georgia’s growing role in the Web3 space.
“We’re thrilled to be part of DeGameFi 2025 — our first public engagement in Georgia since the launch of Bybit Georgia in July,” said Zeng. “The event helped us build new partnerships and strengthen our presence in this rapidly evolving crypto ecosystem. Georgia holds a unique place in Bybit’s global strategy. Our mission is to make crypto accessible to everyone through trust, innovation, and education.”
Partnership with Setanta Sports: Reaching the Mass Audience
Bybit Georgia revealed a strategic collaboration with Setanta Sports, the country’s top sports broadcaster with more than 2.5 million monthly viewers. This marks the company’s first large-scale local partnership.
Setanta Sports broadcasts major global sporting events and has a strong foothold in Georgia’s media landscape. According to Bybit Georgia representatives, this collaboration aims to increase brand awareness and educate the public about cryptocurrencies through accessible media exposure.
To kick off the initiative, the two companies launched a joint campaign with a prize pool of 80,000 USDT.
Strengthening Local Presence and Crypto Education
Since entering the market in July 2025, Bybit Georgia has achieved several milestones aimed at solidifying its local presence:
- Mobile app release: In October, the company launched its mobile app featuring one-click crypto purchases.
- Educational initiatives: In partnership with Pixel Academy, Bybit introduced the “Crypto Lion” course to enhance Web3 literacy among young people.
- Industry engagement: Participation in DGFI 2025 reinforced Bybit Georgia’s role as an active contributor to the national digital asset ecosystem.
- Media partnerships: The collaboration with Setanta Sports highlights Bybit’s commitment to reaching a wider, mainstream audience through trusted media.
Bybit stated that its expansion into Georgia followed the company’s regulatory approval under the European MiCA framework. The exchange remains the only global crypto platform fully licensed by the National Bank of Georgia, emphasizing its long-term goal to build trust, drive innovation, and foster education within the regional crypto space.
