Progressive Building Society Announces Landmark Charity Partnership

Progressive Building Society has launched a major charitable initiative, pledging £80,000 over five years to support four leading organisations in Northern Ireland: Women’s Aid NI, Simon Community NI, Autism NI, and Northern Ireland Hospice. Each will receive £20,000 annually until 2030.

The initiative reflects Progressive’s focus on compassion, inclusion, and meaningful social impact. With 11 branches across the region, the Society aims to deliver real support to communities most in need.

Michael Boyd, Chief Executive of Progressive Building Society, said:

“We are proud to partner with four organisations that deliver transformative work across Northern Ireland. Through these partnerships, we hope to contribute meaningfully to their essential work and support individuals and families who need it most.”

    Charities Welcoming the Partnership

    • Women’s Aid NI: Strengthening efforts to tackle domestic violence and create a safer society.
    • Autism NI: Expanding awareness, support services, and inclusion for autistic individuals and families.
    • Simon Community NI: Addressing homelessness by providing safe housing and urgent support.
    • Northern Ireland Hospice: Enhancing palliative and end-of-life care for families across the region.

Representatives from each organisation expressed gratitude, highlighting how Progressive’s funding will make a lasting difference at a critical time.

This announcement builds on Progressive’s partnership with Disability Sport NI, launched in 2019, and underlines the Society’s broader mission to create long-term, inclusive community change.
