Trezor has officially unveiled its newest hardware wallet — Trezor Safe 7 — introducing several industry-first innovations, including a community-auditable security element and architecture built to withstand quantum threats. The launch was presented live, with Incrypted’s team in attendance.

A Wallet Designed for the Future

According to Trezor, the Safe 7 represents a major leap forward in open-source crypto security. Its most distinctive feature is TROPIC01, a fully verifiable secure element that allows the community to inspect and validate its functioning rather than relying on blind trust in proprietary hardware.

The wallet’s architecture is quantum-ready, supporting post-quantum cryptography updates. Once blockchain networks transition to post-quantum standards, users won’t need to replace the hardware, ensuring long-term durability.

“Combining quantum-resistant architecture with TROPIC01 sets a new benchmark for open and trustworthy security,” said Tomáš Sušánka, Trezor’s Chief Technology Officer. “Our mission has always been to defend digital freedom through tools that are secure, transparent, and user-friendly.”

    Advanced Security and Premium Design

In addition to TROPIC01, the device integrates a secondary EAL6+ secure element with no NDA restrictions, providing both physical and cryptographic protection. Private keys remain completely isolated from the host system, and all sensitive operations must be physically confirmed on the wallet’s high-resolution touchscreen.

The Trezor Safe 7 also features:

    • Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity secured via the Trezor Host Protocol (THP)
    • Qi2 magnetic wireless charging
    • Aluminum body reinforced with Gorilla Glass
    • Vivid color touchscreen optimized for mobile and desktop use

    Comprehensive Suite for Asset Management

Through the Trezor Suite platform, users can manage thousands of coins and tokens, trade, stake, and access third-party integrations — all within one seamless interface.

A Bitcoin-only edition of the Safe 7 is also available for users who prefer focused BTC storage. Both versions are priced at $249 and available now for pre-order through Trezor’s official website.
