FaZe Clan, following a high-profile restructuring in 2024–2025, is launching a new on-chain royalty and fan membership system aimed at stabilizing revenue for creators and streamlining brand engagement. The model allows FaZe talent to earn ongoing royalties from digital merchandise, limited-edition drops, sponsorship-linked reward tokens, and creator-led membership tiers.
Core to the system is a tokenized fan badge, which acts as both a loyalty credential and a digital merch receipt. Fans who own badges tied to specific creators gain access to gated Discord channels, behind-the-scenes livestreams, giveaway lotteries, and in-person meet-and-greet priority. All transactions are recorded on-chain, allowing transparent royalty flow to creators.
Industry analysts highlight that this solves one of FaZe Clan’s longest-running structural problems: creator revenue dependency on one-off brand deals, which caused instability during market downturns. The new model turns fan loyalty into a recurring revenue stream.
However, critics warn that the platform must avoid speculative token activity. If digital badges are treated as investments rather than fandom souvenirs, the system risks regulatory scrutiny.
FaZe executives insist the design is “crypto under the hood, not on the surface” — requiring no wallets, seed phrases, or blockchain knowledge to use.
If successful, this could reshape the economic foundation of gaming creator collectives worldwide.
