American Bitcoin, a Bitcoin mining firm co-founded by Donald Trump’s sons, Eric and Donald Jr., has secured $220 million in a major funding round, led by Solari Capital, the investment company founded by AJ Scaramucci, son of financier and SkyBridge Capital founder Anthony Scaramucci.
Solari Capital alone contributed over $100 million to the round, confirming its strong commitment to the crypto industry. Among other high-profile investors participating are Anthony Scaramucci, Tony Robbins, Charles Hoskinson, Grant Cardone, and entrepreneur Peter Diamandis.
The investment aims to strengthen American Bitcoin’s operations in mining and accumulating Bitcoin reserves, positioning the company strategically ahead of its planned public market debut. The company executed a reverse merger in September 2025 to prepare for its exchange listing.
Anthony Scaramucci emphasized that his involvement is driven by the long-term potential of Bitcoin rather than political alignment. Experts note that despite previous political differences between Scaramucci and Donald Trump, the parties have united around the crypto sector, illustrating Bitcoin’s appeal beyond politics.
AJ Scaramucci shared that his connection with American Bitcoin’s CEO, Matt Prusak, dates back to their time at Stanford University. This personal relationship reportedly played a key role in Solari Capital’s participation in the funding round.
American Bitcoin plans to leverage both mining and strategic asset accumulation to compete with other publicly traded Bitcoin-focused entities, such as Strategy. By combining mining operations with the accumulation of digital assets, the company aims to capitalize on growing institutional interest in cryptocurrency.
Chairman of the Board, Asher Jenut, highlighted the significance of Scaramucci’s involvement as a strong vote of confidence in the company’s vision: “They were willing to set aside past differences and back a project they truly believe in.”
In October 2025, American Bitcoin notably acquired over 1,400 BTC, reinforcing its position as a key player in the institutional Bitcoin market.
