Tether is set to launch a new stablecoin, USAT, targeting the U.S. market. The token will be integrated into the crypto wallet of video-sharing platform Rumble, offering a seamless way for users to interact with digital assets.
Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, told Bloomberg that the collaboration with Rumble aims to leverage the platform’s sizable audience — approximately 51 million monthly visitors — to strengthen Tether’s presence in the increasingly competitive American crypto market.
The USAT token is designed to comply with U.S. regulations and will be supported alongside other stablecoins and tokenized assets, including gold, within Rumble’s upcoming wallet. Tether representatives described the wallet as a “central component” of their strategy to expand in digital assets.
Tether currently owns 48% of Rumble, a controlling stake obtained following a $775 million investment in 2024. Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski emphasized the shared values of free speech and decentralization, noting that the wallet combines these principles with the benefits of digital finance.
Additionally, Tether recently acquired $1 billion in Bitcoin at the end of Q3, further signaling its commitment to diversifying digital asset holdings.
