Mythical Games, in collaboration with the Web3 project World, is introducing World ID technology into its games to verify real users and minimize bot activity.
The integration will connect Mythical’s user base to Sam Altman’s World network, utilizing the Proof of Human protocol for players registering or verifying their identities in titles such as NFL Rivals, FIFA Rivals, and Pudgy Party.
“While bots have roles in gaming, they are often exploited to manipulate in-game economies, gain unfair advantages, and claim rewards intended for human players,” the companies stated.
Reports indicate that nearly 75% of gamers are frustrated by automated systems that diminish the overall gaming experience.
“Millions engage with Mythical’s platforms not only for entertainment but also to truly own and trade digital assets. By implementing Proof of Human, we are ensuring fairness and transparency in the gaming economy,” the statement continued.
Additionally, Mythical will launch its own Layer 3 blockchain on top of World Chain, further strengthening its ecosystem.
World, backed by Sam Altman, provides users with unique World IDs after iris scans, and over 17 million people have already joined the initiative. The project first rolled out its Layer 2 solution, World Chain, in July 2024.
“This is a Mythical World,” said the companies. “Together with World Chain, we aim to establish a new benchmark for trust and proof of humanity at scale in consumer entertainment.”
