Chainlink, the decentralized oracle network, has announced a strategic partnership with SBI Digital Markets (SBIDM), the digital asset division of Japan’s SBI Group, to develop innovative digital asset solutions leveraging cross-chain technology.
The collaboration will utilize Chainlink CCIP, a cross-chain interoperability protocol, to enable secure operations with tokenized funds across multiple blockchains. SBIDM focuses on issuing and distributing tokenized assets as part of SBI Group’s broader blockchain integration strategy.
Prior to this partnership, Chainlink CCIP had already established significant institutional collaborations. UBS Asset Management completed a pilot project with SBIDM, using Chainlink CCIP to facilitate seamless workflows for tokenized funds across different networks. Chainlink has also partnered with Ondo Finance to integrate cross-chain capabilities for tokenizing real-world assets on multiple blockchains.
Chainlink’s infrastructure supports collaborations with organizations such as Swift and Euroclear, aiming to bridge tokenized assets with traditional capital markets, enhancing efficiency and interoperability.
