Spain is cementing its role as a rising powerhouse in European esports. The city of Murcia is set to host the 2nd Major Teamfight Tactics Tournament on November 8, 2025, drawing 32 of the country’s top players and several leading gaming influencers.
The event is part of Riot Games’ official TFT Club Circuit, serving as a key qualifier for the World Championship in Paris later this year. For the winner, the tournament isn’t just about the trophy — it’s a gateway to global recognition and new sponsorship deals.
Organized in collaboration with local institutions and private sponsors, the Murcia Major represents a strategic investment in Spain’s regional esports ecosystem. With growing interest from crypto platforms, fintech companies, and blockchain-based fan engagement tools, the tournament could open doors to Web3-powered esports integrations — such as NFT collectibles and tokenized rewards for fans.
“Murcia’s role as host city proves that esports growth isn’t limited to Madrid or Barcelona. It’s a national movement supported by tech innovation and community engagement,”
said event coordinator Lucía Pérez in a pre-tournament briefing.
The TFT Major will feature live broadcasts, fan meetups, and digital activations through Twitch, YouTube, and Web3 platforms, creating fresh opportunities for advertisers and decentralized fan platforms.
As esports continues merging with blockchain and digital finance, Murcia’s TFT Major 2025 stands as both a competitive milestone and a blueprint for sustainable, tech-driven event hosting in Europe.
