Ethereum users can now experience near-instant transaction confirmations thanks to a new technology from blockchain infrastructure platform Primev. The company’s solution, FAST RPC, enables transactions on the Ethereum mainnet to be pre-confirmed in under 200 milliseconds.

Lightning-Fast Pre-Confirmations
FAST RPC works by sending an early signal from block creators indicating that a transaction is likely to be included in the next block. This pre-confirmation drastically speeds up Ethereum operations — from sending ETH and interacting with smart contracts to creating tokens — allowing users to enjoy “lightning-speed” processing.

According to Primev, the system can handle transaction pre-confirmations and block inclusion setup in less than 200 ms, theoretically matching the speed of other high-performance Layer 1 blockchains like Sui. In a live demo shared on X, Primev’s founder, Murat Akdeniz, showed an ETH transfer via MetaMask that was pre-confirmed in just 377 ms and included in the same block.

Comparison with Existing RPC Providers
Popular Ethereum RPC providers like Infura and Alchemy are slower than FAST RPC but operate at a much larger scale and have been tested under heavy network load. Infura connects over 400,000 developers to Ethereum, while Alchemy handles over $150 billion in transactions annually for more than 100 million users globally.

Despite this, Primev’s solution could offer significantly faster transaction times for users who prefer to stay on Ethereum’s mainnet rather than switching to Layer 2 alternatives.

Easy Integration
FAST RPC is simple to set up. Users can connect it to wallets such as MetaMask or WalletConnect by replacing their current Infura or Alchemy RPC endpoints with FAST RPC. To interact with the network, users need to deposit funds into Primev’s “fuel tank” wallet at 0x24A…c2ACf.

Primev’s team has spent over two years optimizing Ethereum for ultra-fast performance, promising a major leap forward in transaction efficiency for the network.
