Sony’s blockchain division and Startale Group have launched the Startale App, a super application designed to serve as the primary gateway to the Soneium Layer-2 network. The new app aims to unify the user experience across Web3, offering access to TGE events, airdrops, and ecosystem rewards within the Soneium network.
The platform incorporates account abstraction, allowing users to manage wallets without seed phrases, execute gasless transactions, and simplify interaction with decentralized services. Developers can also deploy mini-apps directly within Startale App, eliminating the need for standalone websites.
Startale CEO Sota Watanabe said the project removes one of the biggest barriers to Web3 adoption — fragmented user experience.
“We’ve built a platform that makes going on-chain as intuitive as opening a regular mobile app,”
he explained.
The app is fully Ethereum-compatible and will leverage Japan’s regulatory clarity for stablecoins and tokenized assets. This positions Soneium as a bridge between enterprise solutions and open Web3 infrastructure.
Startale App is currently in closed beta testing, with the official release date yet to be announced.
The initiative builds on previous milestones: Soneium’s mainnet launched on January 14, followed by user debates over token management. In March, Sony’s blockchain arm partnered with Japan’s top messenger LINE to bring four mini-games onto the Soneium network — signaling a growing convergence of Web3, entertainment, and user-friendly blockchain infrastructure.
